Finding my Painting Style
Finding your own style as an artist is a lot harder than it seems. I discovered what I call my Rainbow Paintings simply by experimenting. I wanted to paint animals but didn't want the pressure of having to get their colors just right. So, I grabbed every color I had and tried to make that realistic painting I wanted, just with color!
My lion painting is the very first result of that experiment. It is also the very first painting I sold.
I posted a photo of the finished painting in a facebook group not thinking anything of it. I just wanted to share my art among other artists. Someone reached out to me from that post looking to purchase it. From there I realized I'd created something unique.
What do I use?
My paintings are all made with acrylic paint. Almost all of them feature paint pens as well.
I enjoy painting on many different surfaces including canvases, wood, ceramics, terra cotta pots, and more!
